March for Science Cleveland. Held in Cleveland’s Public Square, this satellite march to the national March for Science held the same day in Washington, D.C., is meant to underscore the vital role scientific research plays in our daily lives and celebrate the impact of science in the Northeast Ohio community. The day — which is free to attend — includes many activities that promote the importance of understanding science, advocacy for scientific research and highlighting the history of scientific breakthrough and discovery in the region. Activities for children and adults begin at 9 a.m., a rally with speakers and entertainment begins at 10 a.m., and the march kicks off at 11 a.m.
