Event Navigation

John Wilkes Booth is most associated with the assassination of Lincoln, but there is support for the idea that the plot ran far deeper, involving the Confederate Secret Service, Confederate President Jefferson Davis, and Secretary of War James Seddon. Join author and Civil War historian John Fazio as he examines the evidence suggesting this theory Wednesday, May 20th from 7:00-8:00pm at Solon Library. Copies of Fazio’s Decapitating the Union: Jefferson Davis, Judah Benjamin and the Plot to Assassinate Lincoln will be available for purchase and author signing after the event. This program is supported by the Ohio Humanities Council as well as the Friends of the Solon Library. Registration is required for this even. To register stop in or call the Solon Branch at 440.248.8777 or visit www.cuyahogalibrary.org. The Solon Library is located at 34125 Portz Parkway in Solon.
