SUMMARY:Fashioning the Stage: An Evening with Harold “Ragz” Crawford
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Cleveland History Center for a one-of-a-kind evening exploring the intersection of Hollywood costume design and cultural storytelling. On Thursday\, January 15\, 2026\, pioneering Hollywood costumer Harold “Ragz” Crawford—whose credits include Swordfish\, Men of Honor\, and Everybody Hates Chris—will lead a panel discussion about the artistry behind the costumes that define some of our favorite films.\n\n\nRagz’s career spans decades in film\, theater\, and creative storytelling\, beginning as an apprentice at Universal Studios in the early 1970s and evolving into a respected voice in costume design and cultural preservation. He will be joined by Shelli Reeves\, Founder & CEO of Reframe History\, a virtual African American museum dedicated to preserving Black history through archiving\, oral histories\, and storytelling. Shelli’s work highlights marginalized voices and connects material culture to broader historical narratives.\n\n \n\n\nAlso featured on the panel is Patty Edmonson\, Curator of Costume and Textiles at the Western Reserve Historical Society. Patty’s expertise links global clothing and local history\, connecting Northeast Ohio to a wider world of cultural expression.\n\n\nTogether\, these three creative leaders will explore the stories\, inspiration\, and vision behind costume design\, cultural preservation\, and storytelling. Attendees will gain insight into the artistry of costume design and how it shapes the narratives that define theater\, film\, and performance.\n\n\nThis event is perfect for anyone interested in film\, history\, art\, and cultural storytelling.\n\n\nWhen: Thursday\, January 15\, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM\nWhere: Cleveland History Center\, 10825 East Blvd.\, Cleveland\, OH 44106\nAdmission/Tickets: Included with Museum General Admission\nRegistration/Info: cletix.com/events/an-evening-with-harold-crawford-1-15-2026
