DESCRIPTION:Explore the origins of astronomy\, discover how ancient civilizations studied the night sky through hands-on activities\, celestial exploration and more.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nHighlights include:\n\n\n\nTelescope viewing with members of the Chagrin Valley Astronomical Society\nGuided night hikes\nLive astronomical demonstrations\nA journey through the stars in the StarLab Portable Planetarium\nSpace-themed activities and crafts\nAnimal encounters with ambassadors from the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center\nInteractive activities and photo opportunities\nSpecial merchandise available for purchase in the Nature Store\n\n\n\n\nMiniature train rides will be available\, weather permitting. For their safety\, pregnant women are not permitted to ride\, and children may not sit on adult laps.\n\n\n“Ancient civilizations used the night sky to tell stories\, track seasons and better understand the world around them\,” says Nature Center Facility Manager Kristin Snider. “We’re excited to bring that history to life through hands-on activities and memorable experiences for all ages.”\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration required.
