Author and CWRU professor Brad Ricca presents on early 1900s super crime fighter Grace Humiston, the first female consulting detective to the NYPD. Humiston became one of the nation’s greatest crime fighters during an era when women weren’t even allowed to vote. She graduated from N.Y.U. law school, opened a legal clinic for low-income immigrant clients, and established a reputation as a fierce, fair lawyer on the side of the disenfranchised. Join Solon Library Wednesday, June 5th from 7:00-8:00pm to learn more about the “real” Mrs. Sherlock Holmes. Registration is required. To register, stop in or call the Solon Branch at 440.248.8777 or visit www.cuyahogalibrary.org. The library is located at 34125 Portz Parkway.
