Patterson Family Fun Fest

Skip the weekend crowds and give your little one some extra space to explore a pumpkin patch, pick apples, go on a hayride and more during these weekday fall events.

Patterson Family Fun Fest. Pumpkin Pandemonium. Bring the family to go on a scavenger challenge, get lost in the Harvest Maze and pick out your pumpkin! Monday-Thursday 2 p.m.- p.m. Heritage Farms, 6050 Riverview Rd., Peninsula. heritagefarms.com

Szalay’s Farm Market. Make your way through the three-acre corn maze and find all eight wooden pumpkins and your way out of the maze. The corn maze takes approximately 30 minutes to walk through and it will give you a chance to test your navigational skills. Don’t fret; you’ll receive a map of the maze. Afterward, stop into the market for pumpkins of every shape and size, gourds, Indian corn, corn stalks, straw bales, fresh fruit and veggies and much more. Pumpkins & Piranhas. Zoothing Boo at the Zoo. The Akron Zoo will open an hour early for people with different abilities who don’t like crowds or loud noises to trick-or-treat. Tickets are separate from general admission Boo at the Zoo.  9:30-10:30 a.m. akronzoo.org
