Jen Rome has joined Mitchell Media LLC as events coordinator for the company’s Northeast Ohio Parent and Northeast Ohio Boomer and Beyond magazines. She will oversee the development, planning and execution of events for both properties in order to create fantastic experiences for vendors and attendees.
“We are excited to welcome Jen to our team as events coordinator,” says Brad Mitchell, publisher of both magazines and owner of Mitchell Media. “The events side of our business continues to grow in significance and we know Jen is up to the task of taking them to the next level.
Jen replaces Alexis White, who will be moving to Indiana this summer to follow her husband’s career.
“Alexis did a terrific job for us helping to grow the events for Northeast Ohio Parent since she joined the team in 2015,” Mitchell says. “We also want to congratulate Tarah King on the birth of her third daughter and thank her for the outstanding job she did as as events coordinator for our Boomer Bash events.”
Jen is a graduate of John Carroll University and American University Washington College of Law. After practicing law in a variety of areas including business litigation and corporate wellness, she started her own consulting business in 2015. Jen has extensive experience on non-profit boards, including Playhouse Square Partners, John Carroll Cleveland Alumni Chapter, and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank YP Pantry. Jen also writes her own Cleveland lifestyle blog, Why CLE, as well as writing for Northeast Ohio Parent Magazine, Cleveland Plus, and the Cleveland Zoological Society Z Magazine.
Jen resides in Willoughby with her husband, Matthew; son, Jeffrey; and two dogs.
