Descendant’s Day in Zoar is a lively community celebration honoring the historical heritage of the Zoar community.
1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
This event gathers descendants of the Separatists of Zoar to celebrate their shared history with a variety of activities. Descendants can enjoy guided tours of the historic buildings, including the Bimeler Cabin, and opportunities to connect with family members and fellow history enthusiasts. It’s a vibrant blend of remembrance and festivity, highlighting the enduring legacy of Zoar’s founding families.
Guest Speaker Tom Neel, retired Director of the Ohio Genealogical Society, will also give a presentation titled, “Finding Your German Ancestors in an English America.”
