River Gallery is pleased to present Polyvalent: Works by William Brouillard. Spanning functional pottery, sculptural forms, and mixed-material investigations, the exhibition reflects an artist whose practice resists singular categorization and instead embraces multiplicity, process, and place. The exhibition opens with a public reception on Saturday, June13, from 3–6 PM and remains on view through August 1, 2026.
Brouillard currently lives and works in Cleveland, Ohio, where he maintains a studio in the city’s historic industrial district. He also served as a long-time ceramics faculty member at the Cleveland Institute of Art, teaching for 36 years. His environment—shaped by the region’s steel-making history—continues to inform the imagery, material sensibility, and conceptual grounding of his work.
