Thousands of parents and kids attended the 12 Northeast Ohio Parent Summer Event Series events from May through August at Crocker Park in Westlake, Little Legacy in Lyndhurst, and First & Main in Hudson.

The free events were from Northeast Ohio Parent, with title sponsors Hawken School (Little Legacy), Akron Children’s (Fun at First & Main), and Birchwood School of Hawken (Crocker Kids).
Families who attended were able to enjoy bounce houses, giveaways, water play, bubble fun, rock painting and glitter tattoos. Vendors at the events also brought fun to their tables, as many offered kid-friendly activities and learning opportunities.
Entertainers provided performances and family fun throughout the season such as Mr. Jeff, Jesse Jukebox, Halle Bo Bally, Twister Girl (balloon twisting), Mad Science, Care for Kids, and Northeast Ohio Creatives (princesses and other characters).
Throughout the Summer Event Series, each event had a theme, such as Talent Show, where local kids showed off their abilities from dance, singing, martial arts comedy and more. Other themes included Princess and Superhero Dress-Up and Water Party, which included the Hudson Fire Department providing the splash fun at the Fun at First & Main event.“We had a fantastic summer season again this year,” says Brad Mitchell, publisher and founder of Northeast Ohio Parent and owner of Mitchell Media LLC. “Great weather, lots of family fun and smiling faces. Who can forget the kids singing along to K-Pop Demon Hunters at the Talent Show? How about the firetruck in Hudson that thrilled the kids with a powerful shower? We’re so thankful for the sponsors and families who say that these events are some of the highlights of their summer. And a big shout-out to our host venues: Crocker Park, Legacy Village, and First & Main. See you again next May.”
