Summer at Laurel extends the scope of traditional learning and invites the community to experience Laurel’s expertise through dynamic and engaging camps & instruction. The dedicated Laurel School faculty and staff bring their passion and creativity to each Laurel camp. Creativity, energy and excitement flow through our programs as campers experience the joy of being actively engaged, while having fun in a supportive, purposeful environment. We offer a wide range of opportunities for girls and boys age 2 through Grade 12.
Two Campuses, Too Good to Miss
Laurel’s summer offerings take advantage of our two beautiful campuses and reflect the school’s expertise in art, science, theatre, language, sports and adventure programming. Laurel’s Lyman Campus is conveniently located in Shaker Heights, Ohio. The beautiful 140-acre Butler Campus is situated in Russell Township features a 1,600-square-foot Magic Tree House, Project Adventure Ropes Course, spectacular fields, tennis courts, creeks and trails for exploring.
Specialty camps are the perfect way for campers to explore new interests or delve deeper into a passion like cooking, entrepreneurship, photography, drone piloting, Shakespearean theatre, printmaking or speech and debate. Our educators and campers will venture out of the classroom and into our culturally-rich city as they visit local museums and engage with local business leaders.
Day campers will enjoy weeks filled with nature exploration, crafts, field trips, creek-walking, games and making new friends. Our signature adventure camps for pre-teens and teens offer experiences in mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking and much more! New for 2017: Ultimate Survival Camp and Introduction to Adventure Racing!
In addition, Laurel has partnered with the Cleveland Museum of Art, Little Scholars, Drobots, Heights Youth Theatre and the Great Lakes Science Center to take advantage of their expertise in delivering high-quality programs for campers.
Flexible one-week sessions with half- or full-day experiences, shuttle service, lunch, plus before- and after-camp care make Summer at Laurel ideal for parents and campers alike!
