Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival
Enjoy the 40th hot air balloon festival of Coshocton County. Food vendors, kiddie rides, craft booths, musical entertainment, children’s activities, fireworks, night glow, and hot air balloon launches will be part of this free event thanks to generous sponsors and friends. The festival is organized entirely by volunteers. Check the Facebook Page for current announcements about launches and special events. Free parking and admission. 4-11 p.m.

Walk the scenic Ohio and Erie Towpath Trail between Zoar and Fort Laurens, Ohio’s only Revolutionary War fort, while exploring the rich history of the Ohio & Erie Canal. This guided tour highlights the canal’s vital role in the growth of Zoar, a thriving communal village. Learn how the canal shaped commerce, travel, and daily life in the 19th century, and discover the stories that connect these historic landmarks along this peaceful stretch of trail. 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

A free three-mile lake float observing and learning about local birds for children ages 10 and up with an adult. Search for Osprey and Bald Eagles and learn cool facts about these birds of prey. Kayaking experience required. Bring a snack, water and sunscreen. Registration is required and begins May 29th at 10 a.m. 1-3 p.m.
