Run, pedal and paddle for trails and watershed conservation. Run 2 miles on the Headwaters Trail, bike 10 miles on rural roads past scenic landscapes, then paddle 5 miles on the upper Cuyahoga Scenic River back to Mantua. 7 a.m.-noon.

Come see deep-sky objects, planets, and the moon up close using the Cuyahoga Astronomical Association's telescopes. The observatory will be open for public viewing, and members will be available to answer your questions. Activities and/or displays will be set up inside the barn for further interest on cloudy nights. Cancellations will only be made in the case of severe thunderstorms. All ages are welcome. No registration is required. Free.9-11 p.m.

The Summit County Historical Society is celebrating its 95th birthday with Family Fun Day!  from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine. The John Brown House, former home of the abolitionist/Harpers Ferry raider, will be open for tours. After more than a year of renovations, the house is finally open with new exhibits, new interactivity activities and a new sculpture by nationally known artist Woodrow Nash. The Perkins Stone Mansion will also be open for tours. Moon Landing Party

On Saturday, celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing with a special outdoor showing of the movie “First Man” and space-themed games, all taking place at Toby's Plaza in University Circle's Uptown district. Cleveland Museum of Natural History astronomers will bring telescopes for sky-watching and a special moon landing talk.
