Adaptive Kayaking
Always wanted to try kayaking, but weren’t sure how? Adaptive kayaking is designed for guests with disabilities to have the opportunity to explore new areas of Cleveland Metroparks and enjoy the water. Adaptive equipment, kayaks, paddles, and life vests devices provided. Every 3rd Saturday, enjoy adapted events to meet diverse sensory-processing needs. Guests on the autism spectrum, people experiencing dementia, and those of all ages who have intellectual or developmental disabilities are invited to a calming museum experience with less stimulation before the museum opens to the public. Join a new group of friends at Mixed Melody for a 60-minute program. Kids will laugh and learn through a wide variety of music experiences. Each camp will give participants the opportunity to play, sing, dance, craft and make friends, while learning about the daily theme. Ages 6-9 Wheelchair Accessible, AAC Support, Behavior (mild-moderate), Behavior (moderate-intensive), Low Vision/Blindness, Deaf/Hard of Hearing $27/program, $25/program if signed up for all 9 sessions. 6/15 through 8/17. 1-2 p.m.
