Families can fish for rainbow trout and catfish that have been stocked all along the Ohio & Erie Canal. Families can park at the CanalWay Center lot off E. 49th St. and walk the paved trail. Enjoy exploration stations, bait-digging, casting practice, and loaner fishing poles Prizes: Food: Important Rules Anyone age 16 and older must have an Ohio fishing license Participants are encouraged to bring a rod, tackle, and a cooler with ice. Bait is provided. 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Join the Shaker Historical Society and local chef, forager, and Shaker resident Jeremy Umansky of Larder Delicatessen and Bakery for a guided nature walk at Horseshoe Lake Park, where Jeremy will point out edible plants and other wild finds along the way. Learn to identify what's growing right around us and possibly in your backyard! This is a free event presented as part of the America250-Ohio celebration of Ohio Grows: Food & Farms.
