Benedictine High School Names New Principal

Mrs. Charlene (Sue) Zulandt becomes the first female principal in the school’s 89-year history. She joined the school staff in August of 2014 as the assistant principal and academic dean. Earlier this month, she was appointed acting principal for the remainder of the school year when BHS principal Fr. Michael Brunovsky, OSB went on a sick leave.

Astronaut Mike Good to visit Great Lakes Science Center on Saturday, May 14

NASA astronaut and Northeast Ohio native Mike Good (Colonel, USAF, Ret.) will be at the Science Center for a special appearance with a movie screening, audience Q&A and a meet and greet session. Good has logged nearly 25 days in space during the course of the STS-125 Atlantis (2009) and STS-132 Atlantis (2010) missions, where he helped to service the Hubble telescope and deliver materials to the International Space Station.

Kirtland High School Senior Named Lake Health’s Athlete of the Year 

Kirtland High School Senior Joseph Bates was named Lake Health’s 2015-2016 Athlete of the Year and was awarded a $3,000 scholarship to the college of his choice. He was chosen from among senior athletes who were named Student Athletes of the Month as part of the Lake Health Sports Medicine High School Senior Student Athlete of the Month program.
