Mentor Public Library, among many others, has programs that encourage young readers by letting them borrow a fuzzy friend.

Paws to Read pairs children with trained therapy dogs who provide a supportive ear. It’s open to any kid who can read independently between the ages of 6 and 12.

Their next Paws to Read session will be on Wednesday, May 18, at MPL’s Main Branch. Registration for the next session starts May 4.

For more information on Paws to Read and other children’s programs at Mentor Public Library, call 440-255-8811 ext. 221.
