A storybook trail, or story walk, is a fun way to combine physical activity with literacy. Traditionally, children’s picture book pages are mounted in frames that are laid out along a trail, inviting children, families, caregivers and teachers to follow along with a story as they walk. Most are maintained by library or park systems, are stroller-friendly or accessible, and are updated seasonally throughout the year.
