Greater Cleveland Aquarium is opening an hour early exclusively for guests with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to provide an opportunity exploring nearby lakes and faraway oceans in a comfortable and accepting environment. Not only will there be fewer guests, but for that hour the Aquarium team also will limit the use of microphones, soften lighting and reduce noise to ensure a comfortable environment for all participants. Urban Birding Walk @CLEAquarium
Join an Aquarium Educator on an Urban Bird Walk. We’ll find as many birds as possible and contribute to citizen science as we log the data in real-time using the eBird app. Compare bird species in the industrial flats to lakefront property at Metroparks’ Wendy Park. Middle School Career Day at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium
An exciting, hands-on introduction to the fascinating jobs around an aquarium. Students will meet marine educators, aquarists, divers and animal care experts. They will also find out what it’s like to work with ocean animals on a daily basis. Students will explore different aquarium careers and imagine themselves in those careers.
