Get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Great Lakes Science Centers’ summer exhibition TapeScape: International Tape Station!
Open now, this exhibit invites guests to explore the tape structure to learn about life on the space station and the ongoing research happening right now. For the exhibit, GLSC and designer/artist Eric Lennartson built an all-ages playground entirely out of packing tape wrapped around a metal frame. Lennartson harnesses the tensile strength of tape — or its ability to stretch under stress — to design unique, multi-sensory installations strong enough for kids and adults to climb on and explore.
