Several months ago, the Trumpeter Swan Species Survival Plan reached out to Akron Zoo with an emergency situation. A trumpeter swan was found injured in Alaska and needed a home before the winter cold set in. With the help of a local organization, Sakari was able to find a place at Akron Zoo.
