Cleveland Metroparks Zoo recently revealed the birth of two Amur tiger cubs at its Rosebrough Tiger Passage. The cubs were born on November 6 to mom, Zoya, and dad, Hector.
The cubs are currently in a private maternity den equipped with cameras, so zoo staff can monitor the mom and cubs remotely to make sure the animals are bonding. In the next few weeks, staff will watch for milestones such as the cubs’ eyes opening, their teeth coming in, and showing interest in exploring.
