Camp Christopher: A Place to Grow in Nature, Community and Spirit
For more than 100 years, Camp Christopher, operated by Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland, has provided campers with a world of adventure rooted in nature, community, and spirit. At Camp Christopher, we’re proud to be a Catholic camp guided by values that celebrate the dignity of every person and the joy of building a kind and caring community. Our Catholic faith is woven into everything we do, from hikes to campfires to team-building games—but everyone is welcome to join the adventure and fun!
Our campers enjoy the best of summer with a wide variety of outdoor activities like canoeing, swimming, hiking, archery, horseback riding, fishing, rock-wall climbing, high ropes course and crafts, all while connecting with new friends and growing in confidence and independence.
Our most popular summer programs include:
Day Camp (Ages 5–12): Campers enjoy a full day of swimming, hiking, crafts, games, and nature exploration from Monday through Friday, returning home each evening. It’s the perfect way to ease into the camp experience.
Resident Camp Voyage (Ages 7–16): Overnight from Sunday to Saturday, campers experience the magic of community living in cabins, meals in the dining hall, and exciting adventures like night activities, campfires, and team-building games.
Express Camp (Ages 7–12): A shorter overnight option, running Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, Express Camp is ideal for first-time campers ready to explore new adventures.
SumFun Day Camp for Individuals with Special Needs (Ages 5–21): Everyone belongs at Camp Christopher! SumFun creates a supportive environment tailored to the needs of individuals with disabilities, offering engaging activities like swimming, games, and crafts.
Leadership Camp (Age 17): Teens interested in becoming role models can learn leadership skills, mentor younger campers, and gain hands-on experience during this two-week camp designed to inspire the next generation of camp counselors.
We are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to the joys of camp. Our financial aid program, called camperships, makes this possible. Parents can apply for assistance within registration to give their child an unforgettable summer filled with adventure and growth.
Join us for our Open Houses: March 23rd and April 27th from 1pm-3pm.
