Dive into Cleveland’s rich history this summer at the Cleveland History Center in University Circle.  Explore the past with hands-on activities, in-depth museum experiences, and fun craft projects related to the weekly themes.  We’ll offer four week-long camps in Summer 2026:

  • Transportation Camp – June 15-19: Learn what it was like to travel in the past through the planes, (miniature) trains, and automobiles in the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum at the Cleveland History Center. Campers will examine how Cleveland innovators helped design cars that transformed the automotive industry, and they’ll try their hand at imagining new modes of transportation for the future.
  • America250 Camp – June 22-26: As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, uncover the people, places, and events that shaped the story of our nation and of Ohio. We’ll use museum collections to compare past to present, and learn from examples of inventors, artists, leaders, and others who impacted the United States on behalf of Northeast Ohio
  • Artist Camp – July 13-17: Get creative as we explore the artistic side of our collection. Whether in fashion, furniture, or ceramics and other decorative arts, Clevelanders led the way in making beautiful and functional designs for stylish people. In this camp, we’ll learn about some of these famous artists and their techniques, and then we’ll get up close and personal with examples in museum collections.
  • Entrepreneur Camp – July 20-24: Entrepreneurs turn a great idea into a way to make a living. Campers will learn from real-life stories of Northeast Ohio entrepreneurs while exploring the Cleveland History Center’s exhibits. They’ll master the essential skills of starting a business from pitching a product to creating a business plan, and take the first steps toward building their own future!

Camp content is targeted at children ages 8-13 with week-long sessions running from 9am-4pm daily at the museum. Campers should plan to bring a packed lunch each day.

Additional one half-day camps (9am-12pm) are available for ages 4-7 on select Fridays in June, July, and August. Choose from three themes: Historic Animals, Travelling in Time, or Playtimes Past.

Early Bird Registration Discounts are available through February 28. Register through our website: wrhs.org/learn-discover/programs/for-school-youth/chc-summer-camps. Contact [email protected] or 216-721-5722 x1503 with questions.
