Attention horse lovers of all ages! Gallop over to Rocky River Cleveland Metroparks Stables for the Valley Riding Benefit Horse Festival on Sunday, August 3 from ll:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy a full, fun, family day of horse activities. Come early so you will not miss the festival parade at 11:30 a.m. led by Cleveland Metroparks Mounted Rangers.
Throughout the afternoon, there will be a variety of riding demonstrations including Valley Riding Therapeutic students, drill team performances, stick horse races, raffle prizes, barnyard bingo, food and refreshments. Lake Erie Nature & Science Center and the Cleveland Animal Protective League Mobile Unit will feature other animal friends. And children ages 3 or older can enjoy a pony ride for just $5. There is a l60 pound weight limit for older children.
Valley Riding is a non-profit affiliate of Cleveland Metroparks, providing quality English horseback riding instruction and equine-assisted activities to children and adults to enhance awareness and appreciation of horses in a metropolitan setting.
All proceeds of the event support Valley Riding’s therapeutic riding programs for special needs children and adults.
Parking is available on the stables’ front lawn starting at 11 a.m. Admission is free but a $5 parking donation is requested.
