Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital, the hospital medical staff and the Medina Hospital Foundation are now accepting scholarship applications from Medina County graduates pursuing a course of study in the medical field during the 2018-19 academic year.
All scholarships are made possible by the Medina Hospital medical staff and donors to the Medina Hospital Foundation. Applications must be postmarked by March 16.
To date, these scholarships have provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to Medina-area students choosing to pursue a medical career.
“Knowing the value of education and the costs involved, Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital is pleased to offer these scholarships to the next generation of caregivers who will strengthen and care for our community in the future,” says Richard Shewbridge, M.D., president of Medina Hospital.
While eligibility details for each scholarship vary, general requirements include that the applicant must be a graduate of one of the seven Medina County school districts. Students who are seeking to become doctors, nurses, or members of allied health professions are encouraged to apply. The scholarships offered are: Medina Hospital Foundation Community Scholarship, Jean Myers Scholarship, Bill and Ruth Kelly Scholarship, and Medina Hospital Medical Staff Scholarship.
