Learn About Bavaria at Family-Friendly Oktoberfest in Cleveland

The 10th Annual Cleveland Oktoberfest is happening Labor Day weekend beginning Friday, August 29, through Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea.

This family-friendly event will host events for parents and children. Kids can participate in chalk art, wiener dog races, arts and crafts, trampoline bungee, bounce houses, hay rides, sand castle building, gingerbread house building and more!

While children play, parents can enjoy the International Beer Garden. It will feature 10 brews from around the world, while the Sausage Autobahn will offer a choice of food.

With Germany winning the 2014 World Cup and Soccer being the latest rage, new this year is the “Masters World Cup Soccer Tournament” being held on Saturday and Sunday of this year’s festival. Team Registration and Deadline Information available at www.masterssoccer.org.

All ages will find much to do at the multi-cultural festival, with Wiener Dog Racing, 19 ethnically-diverse dancing groups, fireworks, puppet shows, sand sculpting, a Masskrugstemmen contest, hayrides, a Bavarian Shopping Village, polka lessons, educational seminars, and music, food and beer. The educational pavilion will host polka lessons and information on German and Bavarian culture.

Festival Hours: Friday, 4 p.m. – midnight; Saturday and Sunday, noon – midnight; Monday, noon – 8 p.m.

Oktoberfest Admissions: Adults $10; children 12 and under are free. Save $2 by ordering tickets online at clevelandoktoberfest.com. Parking is free.
