The 53rd Valley City Chamber of Commerce Frog Jump Festival is their annual fundraiser, which takes place Saturday, August 9 and Sunday, August 10 in Mill Stream Park, 1200 Maple St., Valley City.
Saturday, August 9 is “Get a Jump on the Jump”, the 2nd annual party in the park from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m. Enjoy dinner, dancing, shopping and the live band TimeWarp under the stars on a blanket, or under our tent. Local vendors in conjunction with the Chamber will present A Taste of Valley City and Beer Garden.
Sunday, August 10 is the Frog Jumping Festival! Registration for frogs and jockeys begins at 10 a.m. and all other events run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may also register your frogs/jockeys online beginning now through August 4th at www.valleycity.org.
The day of the event, enjoy breakfast sandwiches, coffee and juice, shopping at the Hoppin’ Frog Shoppe and vendor tents, an expanded Bounce House promenade, Children’s Games, Rocky River Frog Races and Ring Toss, free admission, parking and entertainment! Have lunch and beverages from the Chamber’s A Taste of Valley City and Beer Garden. Enjoy Amphibian Education presented by the parks service, the Book and Blood mobiles, and the Med-evac Helicopter will make a special landing after noon.
