Young artists explore the basics of working on the pottery wheel and learn essential techniques such as centering, shaping, and trimming. Students will experiment with combining forms to craft designs and be instructed in using underglazes to add color, patterns, and personal flair to pieces of art. Students create a collection of handcrafted ceramics that reflect their creativity and new skills. Parents and guardians will be emailed when fired ceramics are ready for pick up. Wear old clothes that can get dirty. Ages 10-13. 10/27-12/8. 4-6 p.m.
