Once a month, children can enjoy new, seasonal, themes full of outdoor exploration and play. This is a drop-off program for children ages 3.5-5. 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Find out more »Winter Solstice Celebration
Celebrate the longest night of the year with music, crafts, and a candlelit route through the forest. Registration is not required. Enjoy treats, hot beverages and music; create a solstice-themed craft; walk the candlelit Solstice Traditions Trail, enjoy a bonfire; and watch interactive skits showcasing solstice traditions of various civilizations with costumed interpreters. Dress appropriately for the weather outdoors. Only indoor portions will be fully wheelchair/stroller accessible. No dogs permitted. A free shuttle bus will run 6:30-10:30 p.m. from overflow…

Toast marshmallows over a fire and enjoy some delicious s’mores. Try feeding the chickadees and walk the trail for a self-guided game of Eye Spy. Afterward, stop inside the nature center for a hot chocolate bar, warm up and create a simple winter craft. Depending on the weather, snowshoes may be available for loan. 12-3 p.m.
