In honor of National Adoption Awareness Month, the November issue of Northeast Ohio Parent features a story about sibling groups and the impact of parental opiate and substance abuse.
To complement that, here is the story of Shawn Evilsizer, recipient of the 2018 Rising Up and Moving On award granted by the Public Children Services Association of Ohio (PCSAO). The award recognizes young adults, who are involved with children services agencies in Ohio, and have achieved great triumphs in their lives despite the adversities they have faced. Shawn was nominated by Summit County Children Services.
