Lifecycles for Women-Creating a Healthy Work-Life Balance: 6 – 8:30 p.m., March 18, American-Croatian Lodge, 34900 Lakeshore Boulevard, Eastlake. Whether you are just graduating from college and in a new job or gearing up for retirement, developing a healthy work-life balance will not only keep your stress levels down but also enable you to enjoy living life to the fullest. At this event, enjoy complimentary spa services and appetizers while learning how to reduce stress by learning how to say no, how time management and exercise can help decrease your stress and quick and easy meal strategies. There is a fee for this program. Registration is required.

My First 5k: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., March 19, at TriPoint Medical Center, 7590 Auburn Rd., Concord Twp. This 9-week program will provide you with the tools needed to successfully finish your first 5K race (3.1 miles). The program begins with a free information session followed by a meeting every Wednesday evening, where you will learn about proper running techniques, nutrition, cross training, running wear, and much more. There is a fee for the program. Registration is required.

B Fit 4 Life Activity Series:  8 p.m., March 10, at Painesville Township Park, 1025 Hardy Rd., Painesville Township. Join us for this general health and wellness program that focuses on a myriad of nutrition and fitness topics. March’s topic is “Cross Training.” Please wear appropriate clothing. Registration is required.

Reshape Your Life!: 6 – 7 p.m., March 10, at West Medical Center, 36000 Euclid Ave., Willoughby; and on March 31 at TriPoint Medical Center, 7590 Auburn Rd., Concord Twp. Have you tried traditional weight-loss strategies without success? Are you over age 21 and 100 pounds or more overweight? Do you have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or more? Do you have a BMI between 35 and 40 and suffer from Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, or sleep apnea? If you can answer “yes” to any of these questions, you may be a candidate for bariatric surgery. Join Lake Health’s bariatric surgeon Aviv Ben-Meir, MD, as he describes surgical weight-loss options and answers your questions. Registration is required.

Community Health Lecture: 6 – 7 p.m., March 13, at West Medical Center, 36000 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby. Join us for this ongoing lecture series, which features a variety of topics dealing with health and wellness. March’s topic is “Gallbladder Surgery, Gall Stones & More.” Registration is required.

Senior Connection: 12 – 1 p.m., March 26, at St. Mary Banquet Hall, 401 North St., Chardon. This Lunch and Learn program features a variety of topics dealing with seniors. March’s topic is “Aging with Style & Grace.” Lunch is $2. Registration is required.
