Early Reading — 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Introduce reading to your child and keep track of your progress with this free program. Families can read a book (any book) to their newborn, infant, and/or toddler, according to 1000 Books Foundation in Nevada, which supports the early literacy initiative. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (families can repeat books) before your child starts kindergarten. This ongoing, self-directed program provides opportunities to earn rewards at these participating libraries.

Moms and dads can enjoy activities, playgroups, community service and parent-only events at these Northeast Ohio groups.
