Winner: Rocky River Reservation
Cleveland Metroparks’ Rocky River Reservation follows the winding course of the Rocky River from Berea nearly to Lake Erie. Families can enjoy activities including fishing, hiking, biking, scenic overlooks such as the Berea Falls Scenic Overlook, history exploration and winter sledding. The Rocky River Nature Center features exhibits including Dunkleosteus, a giant fish from the Devonian period, along with kid-friendly nature programs and seasonal activities. clevelandmetroparks.com
