“Strolling Through Spring.” Explore Medina County parks on accessible trails. “Strolling Through Spring” is for strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers of all abilities. Complete five or more of the designated trails through June 30 to qualify for an award. Hikes are free for all participants. Out-of-county residents pay $3 to receive their awards. The award for all hikers is a unique commemorative art print created by local artist and long-time park volunteer George Parmelee. Download the form here.

April 14

The Great Bird Migration Game at Portage Park District. Play the part of birds in this life-sized game along the Osprey Loop. All ages are welcome. 6-7:30 p.m. Visit here for info.

April 15

Fun Day: Wild Animal Babies at Lake Metroparks. Explore the world of wild animal babies and the challenges they face growing up wild through fun games, activities and live animals. No registration required. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Penitentiary Glen Reservation. Visit here.

April 16

Story Time. Help little ones learn to care for the earth by listening to the Dr. Suess classic, The Lorax. 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation. Visit here for info.

Chickadee Feeding at Summit Metro Parks. Drop in and join a naturalist to experience the wonder of hand-feeding black-capped chickadees! Discover the fascinating features of these tiny, feathered friends while attempting to get one to feed from your hand. Seed will be provided. Enjoy a warm campfire and a morning with the birds. 10 a.m. to noon. Visit here for info.

Schoepfle Egg Hunt at Lorain County Metro Parks. Search for eggs, crafts and activities for all. Hunt starts promptly at 10 a.m., followed by crafts and other activities. 10-10 a.m. Visit here for info.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad: National Park Flyer. Climb aboard the train and enjoy Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Passengers will have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife including an eagles nest, deer and other habitats. Trains depart from Rockside Station. Visit here for info.

Nassau Astronomy Night with Chagrin Valley Astronomical Society. Stop in to discover this awesome facility and join members of the Chagrin Valley Astronomical Society taking in the wonders of the night sky. Geauga Park District’s Observatory Park. 8-11 p.m. Visit here for info.
