On the latest episode of aParently Speaking, host Miriam Conner talks about the topic of bullying with licensed school psychologist and mother of four Jess Nagy, who also holds her private independent license through Ohio Board of Psychology.
Nagy, who recently attended a training by an internationally renowned bullying expert, shares her takeaways from that session, along with the definition of bullying and behaviors that are considered bullying, as well as those that are not.
Research has found that one of the best anti-bullying programs only decreases bullying by 20 percent, so what are some things parents can do? Listen as Nagy shares some tips, as well as some dos and don’ts for parents.

Do you know signs that indicate your child might be being bullied — or that they may actually be the bully? How can getting your kid connected reduce bullying? What about cyber bullying — what can parents do to prevent this from happening?
They discuss these important questions and many more.
