While there are plenty of festive activities taking place in the Greater Cleveland/Akron area, if you are treating your family to an out-of town adventure elsewhere in the Buckeye State for Christmas this year, there are some beautiful light displays that are not to be missed. Head out into Ohio with your family, and take an unforgettable visit to the following light displays:

Guernsey County Courthouse Holiday Light Show
For a traditional experience this Christmas, meander around Cambridge and take the opportunity to get a taste for Victorian life in the shops and restaurants of the village. This truly beautiful location is home to a stunning courthouse that was built in 1881 and is decorated with 30,000 lights from the beginning of November right through to the last day of the year. Accompanied by plenty of festive holiday music, this free light show is not one to be missed.

Woodland Lights Festival
This Dayton festival is a perfect event to visit with your loved ones this Christmas. Half a mile of dancing lights, activities and animated displays makes for a festive period to remember. Make memories as you bond over a bonfire and keep warm cuddled up on a romantic carriage ride. Enjoy an abundance of delicious food and drinks or visit the animals at the festival. With the admission fee only being $8 (free for children under the age of 2), you can visit the Woodland Lights festival any night until December 23.

Holiday in Lights
Visit Sharonville to admire the over 1-mile stretch of twinkling lights, while remaining warm in your own vehicle come rain or shine. You can gaze at the stunning display right up until the last day in December 2018. At just $15 per vehicle, this is a real budget-friendly event that you and your family can enjoy together.

Clifton Mill
For the previous two decades, the Clifton Mill light display in Clifton has dazzled with more than 3 million lights. Meet Santa in his workshop, be amazed at the animated displays that light up the mill and property — and only spend a small amount for the pleasure. You can stick to your budget with ease with the entry fee of $10 per person and free admission for children under 6 years old. This light display ends on December 31.

Holiday Lights on the Hill
Spend only $20-$25 per car for non-members and $15 for members at this light display in Hamilton. Stay warm with your friends or family in the car with the heating on and a mug of hot chocolate as you watch the spectacular Holiday Lights on the Hill. This drive-through display is like no other and takes place at the popular Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum. Be in awe at the 3 million lights that cover the sculptures and experience the transformation of the well-known park.

There are plenty of awe-inspiring light displays throughout Ohio this Christmas to plan a festive family getaway. What’s more, with the displays being budget-friendly, you can save the emergency small loans for when they’re needed most. Whichever locale you choose, your family is guaranteed a festive experience  everyone will remember for the whole year.
