‘Dinosaurs of Antarctica’ Opens at Great Lakes Science Center’s DOME Theater

Big-screen TVs might be the norm in many households, but dinosaurs will never be larger on screen than they are on the six-story high giant screen in the Cleveland Clinic DOME Theater.

Travel back in time with the Great Lakes Science Center when “Dinosaurs of Antarctica” opens in the DOME on Friday, December 17. From the Permian through the Jurassic, journey to the south polar landscapes of Antarctica hundreds of millions of years ago. Roam the primitive forests and thick swamps with bizarre dinosaurs and colossal amphibians. Enter a surreal world of bug-eyed giants and egg-laying mammals — where survival means enduring the sunless, six-month polar winter surrounded by meat-eaters with night-vision.

Join intrepid Antarctic scientists on a quest to understand the ice continent’s profound transformation – and to predict the future as humans drive dramatic change. Welcome to the lost world of Gondwana. Welcome to Antarctica.

“Dinosaurs of Antarctica” was produced by Giant Screen Films. Major funding was provided by the National Science Foundation. Visit GreatScience.com for showtimes.
