Two different kinds of horsepower will be on display Sept. 28 and 29 at Lake Metroparks Farmpark, during its annual Horsepower Weekend.
Visitors will learn about agricultural field work, through the progression of farm technology – from draft animal power to modern cabbed tractors. Want to give it a shot? Visitors can try their hands at plowing behind one of Farmpark’s draft horse teams.
The weekend also will feature antique tractor displays, equipment demonstrations such as corn grinding and Farmpark’s regular weekend presentations. Fall activities will be in full swing, and visitors can try Farmpark’s corn maze, apple slushies and more.
Sunday will feature the fifth annual truck and car show, from Noon-4 p.m. Visitors will vote on their favorite cars and trucks in several events, and those wishing to show off their muscle can email Nicole Gruden at [email protected] for more information.
