On November 16, Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds began celebrating the joy of the holiday season and brightening the evenings with Magic of Lights, a dazzling drive-through holiday lights experience and newer holiday tradition for many families throughout Northeast Ohio.
Since opening, Magic of Lights proudly gifted over $25,000 to local charities and participated in various clothing and food drives assisting those in need and ensuring a happy holiday season for all.
This year, Magic of Lights has partnered with The LeBron James Family Foundation to extend its family commitment to the Akron area. As part of that promise, Magic of Lights is collecting brand new khaki pants for students at the I PROMISE School (IPS), the foundation’s innovative Akron Public School serving at-risk students with complete academic and family wraparound support. Requested sizes include youth extra small to youth extra large as well as adult medium and large. Additionally, Magic of Lights is collecting brand new packages of socks of all sizes for the students to stay warm this winter. Donations will be accepted at the front gate at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds and donors receive $5 off of a gate purchase vehicle ticket at Magic of Lights!
In addition to the clothing drive and ticket donation, Magic of Lights has spread its holiday cheer directly to the I PROMISE School students by decorating the exterior of IPS and making it glow with festive lights for the Christmas season.
Magic of Lights is open nightly through Saturday, December 31 from 5:30-9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 5:30-10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
