Use one of the largest research-grade public scopes in Ohio to observe the beautiful night sky during Nassau Night Sky Viewings held at Observatory Park’s Nassau Astronomical Station!
On two Saturdays this season, July 25 and August 22, from 9 to 11 p.m., visitors can stop in to explore deep space using the 36-inch Nassau telescope housed within this historic building, where doors are only open during these special events. A collection of other telescopes will also be available for use outdoors, and Astronomy Naturalist “Asto-Nat” Chris Mentrek will be on hand to guide your exploration and answer all of your questions.
Please also note that the Nassau Astronomical Station entrance to Observatory Park is located at 10350 Clay Street, just north of the park’s main campus entrance. If cloudy, “Astro-Nat” Chris will host a planetarium presentation on the main campus instead.
