Registration Open for DANCECleveland’s Virtual Dance Festival

Register now for #DanceOnOhio, DANCECleveland’s Virtual Dance Festival happening online this year on July 25. Take dance classes, watch performances and discussions, and take part in a community dance day video, all on DANCECleveland.org
DANCECleveland will release four exclusive dance performances that you can watch from home Performances will include Lucky Plush Productions, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company , Wang Ramirez and Vertigo Dance Company.
Tune in before the performance for a chat with the Artistic Directors and DANCECleveland’s Executive Director, Pam Young.
Participate in a live follow up Q&A with Julia Rhoads, artistic director of Lucky Plush, and Debbie Blunden-Diggs, artistic director of Dayton Contemporary Dance Company.
Then, try out one of the 10 classes that will be offered, including early childhood movement with Dance Arts by Regina; ballet with Kristina Weimer of Ballet West; jazz with Kelsey Wilkins, coach of the Cavs PowerHouse Dance Group; contemporary with Antonio Brown, formally a dancer with Bill t. Jones; hip-hop with Samuel McIntosh of Kent State University; African drum and dance with Djapo Cultural Arts Institute; Zumba; salsa; ballroom with Rebecca Sweet of Viva Dance; and more.
The event is free, but donations are requested, if financially possible.
DANCECleveland invites all to “Dance Apart, Together” and will premier a compilation video on July 25 featuring everyone who submits a video of themselves dancing a short routine.
Here’s how to participate:

1) Use this video to learn a short routine (can be done sitting or standing).
2) post your videos on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #DanceOnOhio.
3) Email your video to [email protected]. Subject line: Dance on Ohio. Videos will be accepted until July 8.
4) share this video with your family and friends.
