DinoTrek at Akron Zoo. Discover which of the 30 dinosaurs on display were hunters and which tried to avoid becoming food. Learn about the adaptations dinosaurs used to protect themselves and survive. Cleveland Public Theatre’s Student Theatre Enrichment Program Hosts Free Performances. Cleveland Public Theatre’s Student Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP) kicks off its 32nd season with an original family-friendly play called Getting Back to Once Upon a Time that will feature music, dance, and spoken-word. Akron Zoo’s Christmas in July. Christmas in July is a family friendly event. Guests will enjoy large inflatables throughout the zoo, nine-hole mini golf, music from a live DJ and a water play area featuring squirt guns, reusable water balloons and the zoo’s misters. Historical Engine Society Antique Power Exhibition. Lake Metroparks Farmpark hosts the Historical Engine Society’s 55th Annual Antique Power Exhibition. Nassau Night Sky Viewing Visitors can stop in to explore deep space using the 36-inch Nassau telescope housed within the historic building at Observatory Park in Montville Township. Kayak & Canoe Open House. Stop by to learn basic paddling techniques and take a short self-guided paddle on the lake under the guidance of certified instructors.
