Guests can step into a magical garden railroad featuring G-scale trains, vibrant plantings, and handcrafted architectural elements at the Woodland Express exhibit at the Holden Arboretum from June 15 through September 15.
This world in miniature will be created by Applied Imagination, in partnership with the Holden Arboretum horticultural staff. The Woodland Express exhibit, presented by Fleet Response, will feature elements inspired by woodland animals made from leaves, twigs, and other natural materials.
In addition to the Woodland Express exhibit, visitors to the Holden Arboretum can enjoy countless opportunities to learn from and be inspired by nature. Paved paths guide visitors through some of Ohio’s most beautiful gardens with cultivated collections of wildflowers, rhododendron, lilacs, magnolias and more.  Children and adults can experience fun and exhilarating exploration in the arboretum’s nature play areas and on its soaring experiential structures.  The Murch Canopy Walk and Kalberer Family Emergent Tower take visitors into and above the forest for an immersive perspective of the tree canopy and a “bird’s eye view” of the forest (extra fee applies).
