Do you want to build a snowman? How about meeting fun characters like Elsa and Anna? Join Akron Children’s Museum on  Dec. 4 as the museum’s Hands-on Holidays event returns from 10 a.m. to 3:30 pm. Enjoy visits from the North Pole, someone green and Grinchy and the Snow Sisters, performances by Hyre CLC’s carolers, Sprinkle Cookies in Grammie’s Kitchen, Interactive S.T.E.M. stations, build a wooden craft with Tallmadge Builders Club — GPD Foundation Maker Space, Snowman bowling — Quake, Rattle & Roll, Face Painting in Derbytown, Holiday tunes by Found Sounds Steel Drum Band and more.

There’s fun for adults as well, who can sign up for the holiday canvas painting experience, participate in a community service project, and pick up items in the Monster Shop for the holidays!

The Akron Children’s Museum will also be holding a Fuzzy Sock Drive at this event. All new items collected for children birth to age 18 will be given to children at Summit County Children’s Services’ foster and kinship programs

“Akron Children’s Museums goal is to be the community’s go-to place for fun, learning, exploration, and memory-making,” says Traci Buckner, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum. “We welcome volunteers who want to be part of this magical day! That’s what makes Hands-On Holidays special, everyone is involved.”

Tickets to this event are $10 per adult, $12 per child and museum members receive $2 off the ticket price. Event and canvas painting workshop tickets are now available for purchase at akronkids.org.
