Lake County Y has opened an information kiosk at Great Lakes Mall, located in Mentor. Individuals, seniors and families can purchase Y spirit gear, become a Y member and sign up for programs, as well as purchase gift cards that can be used to participate in Y programs or purchase Y gear and clothing.

“We are always seeking new ways of connecting with our community to share our success stories and encourage others to become involved with our programs – to make their own success stories,” said Dick Bennett, CEO at the Lake County Y. “At the Y we nurture life lessons in kids, foster health and well-being among people of any age, bring people together to pursue passions old and new, and provide mutual support for everyone in our neighborhoods.”

The Y also is offering a new 2-person family membership: two adults in the same household or one adult and one dependent child (age 23 or younger) living in the same household can join for $59.50 per month.

“Having a face to connect with more members in the community at Great Lakes Mall will allow us to expand our mission to serve everyone, regardless of age, background or income, and build a better us; a stronger community,” Bennett added.

“We are excited to welcome Lake County YMCA to Great Lakes Mall,” said Kate Miller, marketing director of Great Lakes Mall. “As the town center in the Mentor area, our focus remains on providing the community with a dynamic mix of services, events and activities throughout the year. The addition of Lake County YMCA demonstrates our commitment to the community and reaffirms Great Lakes Mall as a family-friendly retail, dining and entertainment destination.”

The Y kiosk will be open beginning January 1 during regular mall hours.
