Lorain County Metro Parks Kicks Off French Creek Theatre Season

Lorain County Metro Parks presents “Curious George: The Golden Meatball” as the inaugural production of the new French Creek Theatre 2016-17 season.

Based on the books by Margret and H.A. Rey, this new musical adventure finds George rallying to help his friend, Chef Pisghetti, after an upstart chef with a Meatballs-o-Matic machine ruins All-You-Can-Eat Meatball Day. Taking along his friends Man in the Yellow Hat, Netti and more, George journeys all the way to Rome, Italy, to prove to Pisghetti that his meatballs are “eccellente.”

The performance, which is great for the whole family, is directed by retired Vermilion Schools music teacher Dr. Ted Williams, and features a talented cast of local children.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m., and take place in Pijor Hall, located within the French Creek Nature & Arts Center. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 18. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day of the show. Call 440-949-5200 ext. 221 or visit metroparks.cc/theatre.php to purchase tickets.
