Parent Tip of the Week: Area April Fools’ Day Events – No Kidding!

Here are some happenings around the region that are hosting April Fools events or just some unique kid-friendly fun.

 

Nature Fools
April Fool’s Day is a fun time to play tricks on each other, but what are some of the tricks that plants and animals play on us? Drop off your kids for a spring break afternoon of silly jokes and surprises. Dress for the weather and bring your favorite nature joke, if you have one. Nature Detectives: Clouds. What brings all those spring showers? The season is full of cloudy days. Come explore the different clouds together. 1-2 p.m. Lake Front Lodge, 30525 Lake Shore Blvd. Willowick, 440-256-1404, lakemetroparks.com

 

Thinker Tinker. Children and families are invited to get creative each week to design, innovate or solve a problem together. Carnival of Games
Drop in during Spring Break and try your hand at our games of skill, win a prize, challenge a friend to a game of Wii Mario Kart or X-Box Kinect Carnival Games, and enjoy a popcorn snack. Nature Drawing (Ages 12-15)
Looking to improve your drawing skills? Geauga Park District will share tips for observing and drawing nature, and practice both sketching and cartooning. Karaoke Kraze!
Spring break fun! It doesn’t matter if you can sing or not. Join the library in a jam-packed hour of karaoke!
