Recommended Timeline for SAT and ACT Tests

Having the right schedule for college entry exams (ACT, SAT, etc.) is important. The Princeton Review provides the following quick tips on strategy for taking the tests at the right times.

Junior Year
Summer — Start ACT or SAT Prep
October — SAT/ACT/PSAT
December — ACT 2nd Try
December/January — SAT 2nd try
February — Take another ACT, if necessary
March — Take another shot at SAT, if needed
May — AP exams
June — SAT Subject Tests

Senior Year
August  — Take the SAT again, if needed
September/October — Last chance to take tests before early application deadline
