Akron Art Museum Free Days

The Akron Art Museum is hosting four upcoming opportunities for the public to enjoy free admission. Over the next two weeks, the museum will open its doors at no cost on the following days:
  • Thursday, June 26 | 11:00 am-9:00 pm (as part of Free Thursdays)
  • Sunday, June 29 | 11:00a m-5:00 pm (as part of a Free Family Day)
  • Thursday, July 3 | 11:00 am-9:00 pm (as part of Free Thursdays)
  • Saturday, July 5 | 10:00 am-5:00 pm (as part of the Akron Bicentennial Celebration)
On Sunday, June 29, the Museum will host a Family Day from 11:00 am–2:00 pm. Activities include a pop-up roller rink in the Museum Garden, live performances by Music at the Blissful, Mr. Jeff, and Rellee, and hands-on art-making such as cardboard guitar building, CD bedazzling, interactive performances, and a mixtape customization station.
Saturday, July 5 marks a key day of celebration for the City of Akron’s Bicentennial Celebration. Free admission will be offered from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Akron Bicentennial Parade will take place just outside the Museum, kicking off at 10:00 am, and the Bridgestone Bicentennial Homecoming will be held at nearby Lock 3 from 1-6 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the Museum before or after these community festivities.
